Biography I tell ancient tales. The old tales show us the heart and mind of a long-gone people. My problem is to bring old tales to be heard with "now" ears.
Biography Winner of the 1998 Northwest Folklife Festival Liars’ Contest with her original tall tale, Aunt Sis, Lenore Jackson tells stories that well up out of her rich Texas heritage, love of music, and continuing search for the story behind the story.
Biography Liz's stories leap to life with an invigorating passion for the craft of spoken narratives. Her unique tales range from the hilarious to the profound, and are accessible to all audiences young or old. Liz has BA in Narrative Arts from Oberlin College. She is currently living in SE Portland and is Secretary of the Board for the Portland Storytellers' Guild. She enjoys the personal exchange of storytelling and all that we can learn from it. She has performed in a range of venues from pubs to libraries and in between.
