Biography Fiddlie-I-Ay is a family band, featuring sisters Ruby and Maggie Neatherlin. Ruby and Maggie have been growing up surrounded by Olympia's do-it-yourself old time music community and have played festivals, square dances, and benefits. Mostly, they aim to make everyone they meet smile and dance with their lively tunes and sweet harmonies.
Biography Fiddlin’ Frenzy is a pair of BC sibling phenoms who have taken the Western competitive Fiddle scene by storm, This fiddling and clogging duet performs Celtic and traditional music at many events across North America including Celticfest Vancouver, Northwest Folklife and the 2010 Olympics. They started to perform at the age of five and have composed since they were 7. They have also won first place in various categories at the BC Provincial and Grand North America fiddle contest, John Arcand Fiddle Fest (biggest one in west Canada), Kiwanis (classical) Music Festival and many other competitions in different provinces. As the Face of Abbotsford, they are proud to represent the arts and culture of the city and have released two CDs.
Biography We are a family band, using all acoustic instruments, with family harmonies. Our music ranges from bluegrass, to folk, to Americana. We play some originals and traditionals, too.
Biography Kelly started backing up Evan on fiddle with guitar for contests and then Elise started playing fiddle too and they played our first dance. Then they met RuthMabel at Fiddle Tunes and the rest is history! This is their 3rd performance at Folklife.
