- Biography Nu Klezmer Army is a local group of musicians who have come together to play the traditional music of yiddish-speaking, easter-european Jews. We strive to keep this music alive and not adulterate it with too much Western or Modern influence. It is music that traditionally revolved around community events like weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, or funerals. Nu Klezmer Army features current ex-members of Circus Contraption, Slim Pickins, Illicit Jug Cartel, Bat Country, and God's Favorite Beefcake.
