Biography Skolkis became a performing quartet in the autumn of 2010. We play great Scandinavian dance music with a fresh sound, high energy, and unique arrangements. Our love is to play for dancing, but we enjoy all kinds of audiences as well.
Biography The Seattle Lilla Spelmanslag is a group dedicated to performing the music of the Nordic countries. We have been working together for 4 years, and welcome new members in September and January. We perform around the greater Seattle area, and hope to be touring in Sweden in 2013.
Biography We are about 1 1/2 years old now. Our name is a play on the word, metronome, a device used for setting the tempo for a tune. We play for dancing and listening and we all play in other groups as well.
Biography Bart and Anna have both been playing Swedish music on the nyckelharpa since they were kids, both here and in Sweden. John tags along because the music is so much fun to play.
Biography Started in the 1990s to sing Scandinavian material primarily for dancing. We also enjoy carrying on the strong tradition of drinking songs that is currently well and alive in Sweden.
