Biography MossyBack Morris Men are a Seattle area dance group that has been presenting Morris dances from the Cotswold region of England for over 30 years.
Biography Northwest Morrisw is a traditional English ritual dance form. It is danced in wooden clogs to the live music of a brass band. This style of dance developed over 100 years agon in the mill towns of Lancashire and Cheshire in the northwest of England. The type of clogs we wear while dancing were normal working footwear in 19th century English mills.
Biography Renegade Rose was founded in 2002 as a mixed side concentrating on the morris dance traditions from the villages of Adderbury, Litchfield, Bampton and Fieldtown in England's Cotswolds, plus newly developed dances. Our motto is “fun dances danced to good music.” Like many Morris sides, Renegade Rose sings traditional English songs and modern folk tunes for performances. We are ably assisted by a musical team playing accordion, whistle and the occasional drum. Renegade Rose Morris is a member of the Country Dance and Song Society, USA
Biography Maldon Meehan is a performer, teacher and choreograhper of Irish sean-nĂłs and set dance. Maldon holds a BA in Irish Studies/Theater Arts from The Evergreen State College and a MA in Ethnochoreology from the University of Limerick, Ireland. She has been teaching since 1994. She is a 2008 Regional Arts and Cultures grant recipient. As a sean-nĂłs dancer Maldon has appeared on the nationally televised 2005 Oireachtas at the Cork Opera House in Cork City (TG4) as well as on Connemara Community Radio and RaidiĂł na Gaeltachta (RTÉ). Maldon placed 3rd in the 2005 ComĂłrtas ChĂłilĂn Sheáin Dharach, a sean-nĂłs jig competition held annually in Connemara. In 2005 Maldon and Ronan Regan released an instructional DVD of sean-nĂłs dance. Today the DVD has been sold in more than 17 countries.

Biography The Comerford School of Irish Dance continues a great tradition of Irish dancing excellence and success, offering weekly classes for new beginners and advanced dancers of all ages (including adults!). Our dancing program offers many opportunities for our dancers to perform, compete, and share their love of Irish dancing with audiences in the greater Seattle area. Irish step dancing is a beautiful and entertaining dance form of graceful steps and percussive hard shoe rhythms that compliment the exciting Celtic music. Enjoy the showcase!

The Bridgetown Morris Men keep this age-old tradition alive in Portland. Our shows are an energetic mix of traditional dances, music, songs and plays. Biography Seattle Branch, Royal Scottish Country Dance Society was formed in 1978 to preserve and promote Scottish country dance. It holds classes Sep to Jun, and conducts workshops, dance parties, and performances of Scottish country dance.
Biography Nonesuch was founded in 1988 to demonstrate the beauty of English dance and to lure new dancers into the ECD community. Nonesuch has performed at Folklife, the Kent Canterbury Faire and other ethnic festivals as well as for senior centers and nursing homes, for concerts of early music, fundraisers at KCTS, etc. Victoria Bestock has been the groups artistic director the past 20 years. Biography Founded in 1989, Baile Glas performs at many celebrations of Irish culture in Northwest. The youthful dancers learn, and celebrate an unique style of step dancing that is energetic, and joyful.
