- Biography Juliana is a Russian folk singer and ethnomusicologist who formed the group PAVA in Seattle in 2008 to perform songs collected by her in expeditions to remote Russian villages. The ensemble performs frequently on various multicultural events in USA and abroad. In 2010 PAVA performed at the first postwar international music festival in Baghdad, Iraq, by invitation of the Iraqi Ministry of Culture. This is their fifth Folklife (and sixth for Juliana).
