- Biography Rebecca Lomnicky began learning violin at age 5, and there-after discovered her calling, Scottish fiddling. Within a few years she won the US Jr. National Scottish Fiddle Championship, and then in 2009 was invited to compete in the most prestigious Scottish fiddling event in the world, the Glenfiddich International Fiddle Competition held at Blaire Castle in Scotland which she won on her first attempt—the first non-Scot to win the title. She is accompanied by bagpiper & multi-instrumentalist David Brewer of the popular west coast Celtic music band “Molly’s Revenge”, whom over the last decade has performed across the US and as far away as China, Australia, & Scotland.
