- Biography Trio Lucero del Norte plays music from the Huasteca region of Mexico. The group was started by Kim Muñoz, Jose Hernandez and Modesto Hernandez two musicians who grew with this music. Jose Hernandez was born into a family of son huasteco musicians. The group continues today with Jose Hernandez and Kim Munoz, accompanied by muscians Tim Weitmeiller and Abel Rocha.
