- Biography Samantha has played in The Onlies for four years, and the Onlies have played on stages at Folklife since 2009. She is a member of Northwest Scottish Fiddlers (also a regular folklife performer). A student of Ruthie Dornfeld, she loves Cape Breton fiddling. She plays and practices every night with her father, Tom, who tries to keep up with her. Sami is in eighth grade and will enter high school in the fall. Her CD is with her band, The Onlies.
