  • Biography Seirm is the main musical porgram of Slighe nan Gaidheal, Washington's Scottish Gaelic language and cultural society. The group began in November 1996 as a 4-part a cappella choir in order to participate in Mod Vancouver 1997, where it won the Sons of Scotland shield for mixed choirs. Seirm continued to compete and win honors at Mod Vancouver until the biennial Gaelic singing competition ended in 2007. Seirm changed formats, adding tradition- friendly instruments to accompany songs and play tunes fosr Scottish ceildh dances. Seirm performs at various Scottish aand community events, promoting interest and awareness of the Scottish Gaelic language, music and song tradition. Website: www.slighe.com
