- Biography Chassez has been playing ballroom dances for years. Recently they have been performing and recording tunes from pioneer Pacific Northwest music manuscripts from which dance bands played community dances in the PNW. These manuscripts were discovered and published by Vivian Williams, now acknowledged as the foremost historian of dance music of the pioneer west.
